I met with my lawyer Wednesday to discuss strategy and look at my options from her perspective. I haven't been happy with her up to this point and haven't seen her for 8 1/2 months. We talk over the phone, which I have cut back on because of the expense. Although I have been anxious about this meeting for weeks, and have seriously considered firing her, I felt comfortable with what I needed to say. I disputed some of the charges on past bills. She said she would give me a credit for one of the charges I questioned. And we discussed my options. I now need to consider whether I want to go to trial and leave everything to a judge's decision, or go for a settlement I can live with.
